What we collect and why
Enquiries through our contact form
When you fill in our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode and your message. We use this to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and arrange and carry out the oven cleaning you book. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract.
Form submissions are stored in our website’s database and sent to us by email.
Phone calls and emails
If you phone or email us, we keep your contact details and the details of your enquiry or booking so we can deal with it, for the same reasons as above.
Spam and security protection
To protect our contact form from spam, it uses Google reCAPTCHA and a hidden “honeypot” field. reCAPTCHA sends information about your device and how you use the page to Google, so it can tell people and automated bots apart. Our website also records IP addresses and login attempts to protect against hacking. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in keeping the website and our inbox secure.
Website analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are visited. Our web hosting company automatically records basic technical information, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the website running and secure.
Who we share information with
We never sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our business and website, such as our web hosting and email providers, Google (for reCAPTCHA and, if you consent, Google Analytics), and our website support provider. Some of these providers, such as Google, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards required by UK law are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don’t lead to a booking for up to 12 months. We keep customer records for as long as needed to provide our service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, normally up to 6 years. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
